Is my business eligible for Black Horse Flexpay?
To be eligible for FlexPay, you need to be:
- an existing Lloyds Bank/Bank of Scotland commercial customer holding your main banking relationship with us for at least six months
- a merchant transacting through online sales
- based (incorporated) in the UK
We’ll need to confirm the information we hold about you and your business is up-to-date and perform a credit assessment. NewDay will also need to complete their own checks.
There may be other reasons why your business is not eligible for FlexPay and we may change our eligibility criteria from time to time.
To be eligible for FlexPay, you must not be operating in any of these sectors:
- Business-to-business (B2B) or wholesale
- Essential spend, such as fuel or groceries
- Financial services
- Gambling
- Weapons
- Invasive healthcare
- Explosives or fireworks
- Adult products or pornography

Products or services out of scope for Black Horse FlexPay
FlexPay is not eligible for businesses that sell one or more of the following products or services:
- Ammunition
- Botox
- Casinos
- Cosmetic surgery
- Crossbows
- Dynamite
- Explosives
- Fillers
- Flares
- Guns including air rifles
- Horse / Greyhound Betting
- Laser eye surgery
- Online Betting
- Online pornography
- Other types of invasive surgery
- Sex toys
- Strip clubs
- Swords
- Video pornography
Business type out of scope for FlexPay
FlexPay is not eligible for businesses that are of any of the following types:
- Benefit Schemes - Death
- Central Government
- Charity
- Charity UK & Islands Branch of Registered charity
- Club, society or association
- Community Interest Company England & Wales
- Company Ltd by Guarantee England
- Company Ltd by Guarantee Scotland
- Company Ltd by Guarantee Wales
- Co-operative Society
- Foreign Business - Incorporated
- Foundation Trust
- Government Department
- Jersey - Incorporated Cell Company
- LBG RE Cash Collateral Record
- Local Authority
- Multi Academy Trust
- NHS Trust
