Making a payment without a Direct Debit in place

A Direct Debit is the best way to keep in top of your FlexPay payments - there are other ways to pay too.

How to make a payment when you don’t have a Direct Debit?

If you want to pay on a date of your choice or wish to make extra payments on top of your Direct Debit, you can do it in these ways.

Pay with a Debit card.

1. You can do this by using Online Account Manager

  • Log in to Online Account Manager and select Make a Payment from your Account Summary Screen
  • Enter the amount you want to pay, followed by your debit card details.

2. You can also use your app.

  • Select Pay on the bottom menu bar.
  • Choose Pay by Card on the next screen followed by your debit card details.

3. You could also call Customer Services and pay.

Debit card payments will reach your FlexPay account by the next working day.

You must make sure when you pay, that your payment will reach us before the due date.

How can I make extra payments?

There is no additional cost for making an extra payment and you can do this as often as you wish.

The date you make an extra payment will affect how your payment may be applied.

If you make an extra payment after your payment due date and before your next statement is generated, this payment will be updated against your outstanding balance and will be reflected in your Online Account Manager, your app as well as in your next statement.

If you make an extra payment between your statement date and your payment due date:

  • Your Direct Debit, if you have one, will normally be reduced by the amount you paid, unless this payment was received after your Direct Debit was already initiated.
  • If you don’t have a Direct Debit, your payment will first go towards your scheduled payment and any amount remaining will be treated as an extra payment.

When you make an extra payment, this will always go towards your balance which is incurring interest, starting from the highest interest balance to the lowest interest balance.

This is to ensure that the extra payments you make give you the most benefit.

You will not be able to choose a specific instalment plan to make an extra payment.
